I just don't understand.... "There's always next year." Are we a mediocre team that the writers hype up? Or a good team that doesn't play consistent?
They're saying one Vegas source , but either way... A rematch of the 2012 SECCG would be epic! That's also the same year we were embarrassed by South Carolina and everyone counted us out. Can't wait!
StrickBama, I see the point you're trying to make, but I'll ask you this; What defines a win? Stats or points on the board? And also, was there a point after the first quarter where you thought Arkansas was going to win? The score is what drives strategies and play-calling. But hats off to Arkansas, they are much better than their record shows. Even Mark Richt said that we didn't let up, just Arkansas played better in the second half. The penalty after penalty sure didn't help us either.
Great article like always Murf, but I have to disagree for my Dawgs! I think that it's a strength on strength matchup with us getting the advantage in the fourth quarter since we have (a little) more depth. Plus, I think these drag out games have been taxing on the Hogs. Will be a good one for sure!
Zoucat, you're probably right... But either way I wish your team luck and hope we get the writers to talk about something other than how weak the East is this year.
First off, Mizzou fans keep it real... Secondly, I remember an Auburn team last year that lost their first conference game to LSU and look what happened after that. They had ridiculous rushing yards, but I never read they are "one dimensional". I'm a fan and biased, but neither team (SC or Mizzou) show cased their true potential last week. Let the haters hate. Dak attack will disappear when MSU gets exploited and all the writers pretend like they never hyped them up in the first place. Kind of like UGA predicted for the playoffs after week 1 and then they place us in the Capital One Bowl. That being said I'm waiting for revenge against MIZZOU!!!!! Go Bulldogs! SEC Werst eat a .......!
Very well written article! Even though the game didn't go the way I had hoped. I'm curious though, do you see history repeating itself? I remember a team in 2012 that was destroyed 35-7( if I remember correctly) but returned to compete pretty closely with Alabama in the SEC championship. I think also, that this game represented more of how good USC is and not how BAD UGA played.
The point is that the officials were straight garbage! Game hen fans are driving that point home by whining about the clipping and "no call" on Gurley. (Guess you never saw his fingers in his mask first) both sides got screwed and different points during the game. But congratulations for barely holding onto a three point win at home to keeps yourselves alive.
The talent? Yes. The ability to execute? That's a different question that I believe Pruitt has answered.
