Georgia still has the fourth-best odds to win the national championship, according to the poll- and prediction-based website FiveThirtyEight.

The Bulldogs have a nine percent chance to win the crown, the site indicated.

Alabama, unsurprisingly has the best odds to win the national title at 28 percent, followed by Clemson with a 17 percent chance and Oklahoma with a 13 percent chance.

The ‘Dawgs were devoured by Auburn 40-17 on Saturday, but three SEC teams pretty much still control their own destiny.

Auburn has the eighth-best odds at six percent.

One-loss Georgia has clinched the SEC East, and will have a chance to win the SEC Championship when it meets either Alabama or Auburn in Atlanta on Dec. 2.

Beating either of those teams will be quite a challenge, but one could argue Georgia has the easiest road of any SEC team to the title game at this point.

The Bulldogs still have to get past Kentucky and annual rival Georgia Tech, but if they can get that done, they’ll already essentially be locked into a playoff elimination game in Atlanta.
