On Friday, LSU announced two big-time opponents for the end of the decade. The Tigers will meet Miami in their 2018 opener in the Cowboys Classic, to be played in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. Additionally, they scheduled the Texas Longhorns for a home-and-home series in 2019 and 2020.

The meeting with the Hurricanes will be LSU’s first since the 2005 Peach Bowl, where LSU rolled to a 40-3 win.

“The Cowboys Classic is a great event and gives us an opportunity to showcase LSU football in the premier NFL venue in an area that is one of our biggest alumni bases outside Louisiana,” LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said in a press release. “These are the types of games that our fans want to see and they will be a huge benefit to our football program and our university.”
