The Ole Miss Rebels had their backs against the wall in Oxford on Sunday, needing to win two games against Louisiana to avoid elimination.

That’s exactly what they managed to do, though, winning Game 1 by a score of 5-1 and then walking off in dramatic fashion in Game 2 to advance to the super-regional round.

As you can see below, the Rebels won on a slap single that bounced over the shortstop’s head and prevented her from throwing home, with junior Kaylee Horton providing the heroics:

Now, the Rebels will advance to the super regional, and they’ll play the No. 6 Arizona Wildcats in a best-of-three series.

Can the Rebels keep their magical season going? We’ll find out this week.
