Fans of teams in leagues other than the SEC sometimes like to complain about the built-in advantages the league has during bowl season based on the warm-weather locations of bowl games.

And while that is not anything new, one guy went as far as to create a graphic mapping out the Power 5 conferences and the contracted bowl locations for each.

It is interesting.

If a state is highlighted in blue, it is the home of at least one of the league’s member schools. The color-coded diamonds represent the bowl games that the league is contracted to play in:

The SEC certainly travels less than most of its Power 5 friends, but does that give the league a decided advantage?

It’s not like these teams are playing in their home venues, and most times, aren’t even play in their home state.
