Continuing our daily look at top recruits in each of the 10 SEC states, the next stop is Georgia. The SEC has made Georgia its personal one-stop shop for as long as I can remember. However, as Georgia continues growing, more non-SEC programs are coming in and trying to get a piece of the best prospects from the Peach State.

Based on 247Sports’ 2016 composite rankings by state, here are Georgia’s 10 best prospects and where they’re headed (comments where necessary):

1. Derrick Brown, DT, 6-4, 318, Buford (five stars, uncommitted): Georgia is the team to beat for Brown, with Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee all in the picture. Mississippi State and Alabama have already received official visit while Georgia (Jan. 15), Auburn (Jan. 22) and Tennessee (Jan. 29) will get a chance to make their final pitch before a signing day decision.

2. Isaac Nauta, TE, 6-4, 240, Buford (five stars, uncommitted): Nauta will make his final choice between Alabama, Georgia and Michigan at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9.

3. Mecole Hardman Jr., ATH, 5-10, 180, Elberton (five stars, uncommitted): Hardman’s recruiting seems to change like the wind; he still has a couple of official visits left to take as well. Seems like Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee are three schools Hardman will consider on signing day. Michigan is also making a strong play for the talented athlete.

4. Demetris Robertson, ATH, 6-1, 180, Savannah (five stars, uncommitted): Much of Robertson’s recruitment will be decided with visits in January. Alabama and Georgia have have been recruiting Robertson hard while Notre Dame remains in the mix. Keep an eye on Stanford if Robertson can take an official visit there.

5. Kyle Davis, WR, 6-1, 215, Lawrenceville (four stars, committed to Auburn)

6. Antwuan Jackson, DT, 6-2, 285, Ellenwood (four stars, committed to Auburn): Jackson picked Auburn over Ohio State on Dec. 17.

7. Julian Rochester, DT, 6-5, 310, Powder Springs (four stars, committed to Georgia)

8. Ben Cleveland, OT, 6-7, 320, Toccoa (four stars, committed to Georgia)

9. E.J. Price, OT, 6-6, 310, Lawrenceville (four stars, uncommitted): Price was committed to Georgia once and the Bulldogs still seem to have an edge with the staff moves that new coach Kirby Smart has made. Official visits to Oklahoma, LSU and Auburn are coming in January with the Tigers being the closest challenger to Georgia.

10. Nigel Warrior, S, 5-11, 190, Suwanee (four stars, uncommitted): Warrior has taken an official visit to Ohio State. Alabama, LSU and Tennessee will definitely get official visits in January with a mid-week official to Georgia also possible. Thoughts on Warrior’s final destination are up in the air with Tennessee holding the lead with 42 percent on the 247sports crystal ball.
