Kentucky has been fairing well on the recruiting trail of late, and these efforts have paid off in the form of a commitment from Quintin Wilson, a three-star center from Ohio.

Ohio has been great to Mark Stoops’ Wildcats, and you’ll find numerous players from the Buckeye State on the Cats’ roster.

The Cincinnati prospect checks in at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds. He is the eighth-ranked center in the class according to 247Sports Composite, and No. 644 overall prospect.

He tweeted out his commitment Sunday.

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops makes no secret of his Youngstown roots, and his strong Ohioan ties have already landed three other 2018 commits from the Buckeye state, as well as playing a part in the wooing of former Nebraska LB Courtney Love, who is now a Wildcat.

Wilson adds to the size and OL depth in the class – which includes eight players, three of whom are offensive linemen.

As a player, Wilson checks all the boxes for a Kentucky offensive lineman. He is raw, physical, versatile, plays hard, and has plenty of room for development. Part of the Wildcats’ success from their rebuilt under Stoops has been due to their ability to turn players like Wilson into nice SEC players by outperforming their recruiting service rankings.
