Will Hill’s signing at the University of Florida was a big deal.

The former 5-star New Jersey product was a huge coup for then-head coach Urban Meyer, who is known for his recruiting prowess. He was rated as the No. 1 safety in the country and the nation’s No. 4 overall prospect. But his Gators’ career never did really live up to the hype. Sure, he had his moments, but he wasn’t the standout everyone expected.

The Jersey City, New Jersey, native bounced around the NFL with the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens, and now, Hill finds himself in the CFL playing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

On Saturday afternoon, Hill made headlines after he was ejected from the Tiger-Cats’ game for grabbing the referee by the collar.

Hill has had his fair share of off-the-field trouble. He was suspended for 10 games following his fourth violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy last spring and released by the Ravens.

Hopefully, Hill can somehow get his act together long enough to stay in football.
