It’s time to get ready for Week 9 of the college football season!

We are in the heart of the schedule for most teams, and 11 SEC teams will be in action this week. A number of good matchups are set including Arkansas-Ole Miss, Vanderbilt-South Carolina, Mississippi State-Texas A&M, and Tennessee-Kentucky.

The headline, however, is the annual Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville. Bragging rights are always on the line in the rivalry matchup, but the Bulldogs are aiming for even bigger things this season. Georgia is currently No. 3 on the AP Poll and looking to head to the SEC Championship Game with an undefeated record.

At 3-3 on the season, the Gators are trying to regroup and get to bowl eligibility. Florida will face a tough challenge in taking down the Bulldogs, and ESPN’s Football Power Index does not give the Gators much of a chance in the game.

The FPI gives Georgia an 83.2% chance of getting the victory and continuing an undefeated season. Anything can always happen in a rivalry matchup, but the Bulldogs look stronger and more talented across the board this season. Who knows, maybe Tim Tebow’s message will fire up the Gators.

Here are the FPI projections for the rest of the games in the SEC this weekend:

  • Mississippi State at Texas A&M – MSU favored at 57.1%
  • Vanderbilt at South Carolina – SC favored at 83.5%
  • Tennessee at Kentucky – Kentucky favored at 56.3%
  • Arkansas at Ole Miss – Ole Miss favored at 60.8%
  • Missouri at UConn – Missouri favored at 77.9%
