Clay Travis explains why comparing John Calipari to Nick Saban is 'absurd'
When it comes to winning championships, there haven’t been many coaches in history better than Alabama’s Nick Saban, who just won his sixth title (fifth with Alabama) last season.
Over in men’s basketball, Kentucky’s John Calipari is often considered one of the best in the business, but Outkick the Coverage’s Clay Travis isn’t a huge fan of Coach Cal.
In a recent show, Travis said comparisons between Cal and Saban are “absurd,” as Calipari doesn’t get the most out of lesser talent like Saban sometimes does:
"If John Calipari doesn't have better players than everyone else, he gets exposed when it comes to actual coaching. Any talk that he is the Nick Saban of basketball is laughably absurd." – @ClayTravis

Indeed, despite often landing some of the top players in the country, Calipari only has one title in his time at Kentucky. Saban, meanwhile, has won five titles in Tuscaloosa.
This year, Cal’s Wildcats are an inconsistent team, despite having several talented young stars. If he doesn’t start bringing more titles to Lexington, he could eventually start to hear about it from Kentucky fans.
