Just eight days before No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 LSU go head-to-head in Death Valley, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa and LSU head coach Ed Orgeron ran into each other on the sideline of the Hewitt-Trussville vs. Thompson high school game. Both were there to visit Tagovailoa’s younger brother, Thompson QB and Alabama commit Taulia.

ESPN, which carried the game, showed the two exchanging pleasantries on the sideline. Orgeron was asked Monday what he said to Tua.

Obviously Orgeron is hoping that for three-plus hours on Saturday night, Tagovailoa plays like he’s not one of the best players in the country.

Orgeron also learned something about Tua during their unplanned meeting.
