The Tennessee Volunteers apparently haven’t learned much from their lengthy coaching search last year, as their hunt for a new offensive coordinator to replace Tyson Helton is starting to drag on a bit.

With potential targets Hugh Freeze and Chip Lindsey now off the board, the Vols’ hunt continues, and that means new names are getting involved.

On Friday morning, ESPN insider Chris Low updated the search, the Vols could look at Houston OC Kendal Briles or Oklahoma State OC Mike Yurcich:

Briles has done a good job with an explosive Houston offense, so it makes sense that he’d be considered.

If the Vols want him, though, they should act fast — other big-name schools are also in the hunt for offensive coordinators.
