The excitement for the start of the Lane Kiffin era at Ole Miss is growing. And one Rebels quarterback doesn’t want to miss out.

After previously entering the NCAA transfer portal, true freshman quarterback Grant Tisdale has announced that he’ll be staying at Ole Miss. He made his decision known on Twitter on Monday:

Tisdale was a 4-star recruit out of Allen, Texas. He was the No. 14 dual-threat quarterback recruit in the 2019 class per the 247sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 44 recruit from Texas.

However, former Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke announced that Tisdale was planning on leaving the program back in October. It was a decision he made at the time due to the Rebels having a lot of quarterback depth.

The hiring of Kiffin, though, appears to have changed Tisdale’s mind. Kiffin was introduced as the Rebels’ new head coach on Monday after he arrived in Oxford, Miss., on Sunday.
