One of Georgia’s top freshman signees will reportedly be sidelined for the next 1-2 months after an off-field injury.

Henry Sillen for UGA Wire writes that Broderick Jones suffered a lower leg injury in a motorbiking accident, citing a Dawgs247 VIP report. The Lithonia, Georgia standout was rated 5-stars, the No. 2 offensive tackle, No. 3 recruit in Georgia and No. 11 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite.

Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs are just under two months out from opening the 2020 season against ACC opponent Virginia on Sept. 7. It remains to be seen if the Dawgs will have to worry about missing Jones for that game.

The ACC has stated it will make a decision by the end of this month whether its teams will play out-of-conference games in 2020. The SEC athletic directors will reportedly meet Monday in Birmingham to discuss the 2020 fall sports schedule. The Big Ten and Pac-12 have recently decided to move to conference-only schedules for this fall.
