Leading up to the start of the 2020 season, LSU announced redshirt freshman Ray Parker had been suspended from the program for a violation of team rules.

Since that time, Parker has not been reinstated by LSU. Now we have a good idea why the former four-star recruit has not been welcomed back to the team.

According to a report from Lea Skene of The Advocate, Parker has been accused of beating a puppy so bad that he broke the dog’s leg. The dog later had to have its leg amputated.

That’s according to an arrest warrant for Parker issued by LSU police in September. In addition to those charges, Parker has also been arrested on domestic violence charges.

Parker’s former roommate has also reported to police that the former LSU player kicked the puppy.

Here is a disturbing section from The Advocate’s report:

According to the warrant, Parker would routinely abuse his black and white pitbull puppy, breaking a leg and rib. He had sent text messages about punishing the dog for urinating on the floor, saying Kash might end up “dead or injured.” He told his girlfriend to come get “this … broke leg dog,” according to the warrant.

She ultimately collected Kash and turned him over to the LSU vet school for treatment since she couldn’t afford his vet bills, police wrote in the warrant. Officers learned that Kash’s leg had to be amputated because of multiple breaks and fractures.
