It appears Ben Davis will be finishing up his college career elsewhere.

The senior defender announced on Monday that he will be entering the NCAA transfer portal with the following statement.

“After winning the national championship this season, I talked with my family about continuing my career in football. With much thought and consideration, I have decided to enter my name in the transfer portal. Thank you to everyone at Alabama who has brought me to this point and it’s always ‘Roll Tide’ for life.”

Davis was a reserve linebacker for the Crimson Tide last season, appearing in 10 games, recording just three tackles. During his junior season, Davis appeared in 11 games for Alabama.

The Gordo, Ala., native signed with Alabama over Auburn and was rated as a five-star prospect in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
