Les Miles’ time at Kansas has come to an end.

The Jayhawk coach racked up a 3-18 record during his time in Lawerence but Miles’ failed record had little to do with his time at Kansas coming to an end after just two seasons.

Following the release of LSU’s internal investigation that cast Miles in a very poor light during his time running the football program in Baton Rouge back in 2013, Kansas announced it had “mutually parted ways” late Monday night.

Miles has denied the allegations against him found in LSU’s internal report.

Now that he’s out of a job, Miles issued the following statement — which interestingly does not address any of the allegations made against him.

“This is certainly a difficult day for me and for my family. I love this university and the young men in our football program. I have truly enjoyed being the head coach at KU and know that it is in a better place now than when I arrived. To our student-athletes, I want you to remember that you came to play for KU and earn a degree here. So, I implore you to stay and build on what we started and do all of the things we talked about doing together. There is a bright future for all of you and for KU Football.”

At this point, it’s hard to imagine Miles ever lands another college coaching job considering the allegations made against him in LSU’s report.
