A Tempe, Arizona native, Pearsall spent 3 seasons at Arizona State before entering the NCAA transfer portal. Including the 4-game 2020 season, Pearsall played in 30 games for the Sun Devils.
The 2021 season was a breakout year for Pearsall. He was ASU’s leading receiver with 48 catches for 580 yards and 4 touchdowns. Florida’s leading returning receiver, Justin Shorter, had 41 receptions for 550 yards and 3 TDs last season.
Earlier this month, Pearsall reportedly narrowed his transfer options down to Auburn, Florida and Oregon. With the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver, Pearsall has 2 full seasons of eligibility remaining. He also has a redshirt available if needed.
Pearsall joins a Florida receiving corps lacking in vertical threats. We’ll see what he brings to Billy Napier’s offense this fall.
