Texas A&M is dealing with an unexpected situation ahead of its appearance at SEC Media Days on Thursday.
That’s because, on Wednesday morning, star WR Ainias Smith — 1 of the 3 players expected to make the trip to Atlanta — was arrested for DWI and weapons charges.
On Wednesday afternoon, a Texas A&M spokesperson revealed that Smith had been suspended and wouldn’t attend Media Days. The spokesperson also said Jimbo Fisher is aware of the arrest and is looking into the situation:

How long Smith’s suspension will last remains to be seen, but that figures to be announced in the coming days or weeks.
As Saturday Down South’s Connor O’Gara wrote, this is a tough blow for an A&M offense without any room for error.
