Late last month, concerns arose about 4-star Alabama signee Josh Jobe and whether the talented defensive back from Connecticut would be academically eligible to enroll this summer.

However, it appears he was able to take care of business in the classroom and avoid having to take summer classes at his high school.

According to an AL.com report, Jobe is now officially enrolled at the University of Alabama:

The four-star cornerback has qualified academically and is now enrolled at Alabama, his high school coach told AL.com.

“It was just coming down to the wire,” Cheshire coach David Dykeman said. “You’ve got to remember that he was only here for a year, so we were still working out the stuff from (his previous school). And it was going to come right down to the end. To his credit, he did a great job and found a way to make it. He’s a fully enrolled Alabama student.”

According to the 247Sports composite, Jobe is the No. 14 cornerback in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Connecticut.

With Alabama looking to replace a lot of talent in the secondary this summer, having Jobe on campus will be a big benefit.
