As the University of Alabama football team heads into the Southeastern Conference portion of its schedule the roster is pretty much set as for who will play this season.

Simply put, any freshman who didn’t get on the field for the first three games is probably looking at a redshirt.

Alabama had 26 players in the Class of 2014, including two who did not academically qualify. Running back Bo Scarbrough is expected to join the team in January while offensive lineman Montel McBride is attending a junior college.

All four junior-college transfers have already played, along with former Florida State quarterback Jacob Coker.

Among the 20 true freshmen, half have already been on the field along with redshirt freshmen Cooper Bateman and ArDarius Stewart. Last year the Crimson Tide played 14 true freshmen.

Here’s a look at where everyone stands (bold indicates have played):

  • Cam Robinson: Has started all three games at left tackle. Has had no penalties and has yet to give up a sack.
  • Da’Shawn Hand: The defensive end played in all three games and made three tackles.
  • Tony Brown: The cornerback who enrolled early has played in all three games and made one tackle. Appears to be third on the overall depth chart at cornerback.
  • Marlon Humphrey: Played briefly against West Virginia.
  • Rashaan Evans: The linebacker has played in all three games as a pass-rusher. He’s been credited with five tackles, one sack and a quarterback hurry.
  • Christian Miller: Has not played.
  • Laurence “Hootie” Jones: Has played in two games and was inserted with the first unit when Landon Collins had trouble with his helmet against Southern Miss. Has made one tackle.
  • Ronnie Clark: Hasn’t played and appears poised for a redshirt.
  • Ross Pierschbacher: Continues to work with the second unit at left guard during practices, but Isaac Luatua takes his place during games so Pierschbacher can still redshirt.
  • David Cornwell: Appears poised to redshirt.
  • Camerson Sims: Has played in all three games, but dropped the first pass thrown his way.
  • Josh Frazier: The defensive lineman has played in two games, but has yet to make a tackle.
  • JC Hassenauer: The offensive lineman will likely redshirt.
  • Shawn Dion Hamilton: The linebacker played in all three games and has been a special-teams regular. Credited with one tackle.
  • Derek Kief: Barring numerous injuries the wide receiver will redshirt.
  • Joshua Carter: The offensive lineman will almost certainly redshirt.
  • Keith Holcombe: The interior linebacker will likely redshirt.
  • O.J. Smith: The defensive lineman is out for the season after having shoulder surgery to fix a pre-existing issue.
  • Johnny Dwight: The defensive lineman is poised to redshirt.
  • JK Scott: Is Alabama’s punter, but didn’t play against Florida Atlantic because Alabama didn’t punt.

Junior-college transfers

  • Dominick Jackson: Has been the backup right tackle and played in two games. He also lined up as a fullback for a goal-line plunge against Southern Miss.
  • Jarran Reed: The defensive lineman has played in three games, starting two. He’s made four tackles and knocked down a pass.
  • D.J. Pettway: Started the season opener and played in all three games. Has been credited with six tackles.
  • Ty Flournoy-Smith: The tight end has played in two games and made one reception for 4 yards.
