Alabama is entering the 2022 season as a heavy favorite to win a national title.

On Sunday morning, Alabama dropped a highlight video from the first scrimmage of fall camp.

If the highlights are anything to judge by, the Tide look to be at fighting weight getting ready for the season.

Speaking after scrimmage, head coach Nick Saban was quick to try and slow the hype train. Saban pointed out some areas that need improvement, including the team collecting too many penalties on unforced errors. The 7-time national champion coach (6 at Alabama) also noted that the offensive line struggled, and too many dropped passes led to wide receiver inconsistency issues.

It might have only been a scrimmage, but that fact does little to detract from the impressiveness and flash of the Tide. For most, the video was an early warning message — Alabama will, as always, be in the hunt for its next trophy. The season kicks off for the Tide on Saturday, Sept. 3, against Utah State in Tuscaloosa.
