Updated FPI rankings predict Alabama’s remaining games after Tua Tagovailoa’s big Week 1 performance

After Tua Tagovailoa led the Alabama Crimson Tide blew out Louisville 51-14 to kick off the 2018 season, confidence in the defending national champions is at an all-time high.
In fact, moving forward, ESPN’s FPI rankings have the Tide favored in all 11 of their remaining regular season games.
As you can see below, none of them are even particularly close, with a home game against Auburn (72-percent chance of victory) as their toughest remaining contest:
- vs. Arkansas State — 98.6%
- at Ole Miss — 83.5%
- vs. Texas A&M — 86.8%
- vs. Louisiana — 99.7%
- at Arkansas — 91.2%
- vs. Mizzou — 91.0%
- at Tennessee — 94.5%
- at LSU — 77.5%
- vs. Mississippi State — 82.7%
- vs. The Citadel — 99.8%
- vs. Auburn — 72.0%
Tagovailoa’s handling of the Tide offense makes Alabama even more dangerous than originally thought.
It’s going to take a monumental effort for them to get knocked off by any of the teams on their remaining schedule.
