Alabama has flipped an offensive lineman who was committed to Michigan.

Emil Ekiyor Jr. — a 4-star prospect — is now committed to the Crimson Tide, per his announcement on Twitter Sunday afternoon.

“This has been a difficult decision and I have decided to de-commit from the University of Michigan,” Ekiyor posted. “I would like to thank coach Harbaugh and his staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play football at the University of Michigan …

“I look forward to continuing my education and playing football at THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA … #rolltide.”

Ekiyor, who is a 6-foot-2, 322-pound offensive guard/center, is rated as the nation’s No. 2 prospect at his position according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s also the No. 1 overall player in the state of Indiana, where he attends Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.

Ekiyor has offers from just about every elite college football program in the country — Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, USC, Notre Dame, etc.
