One Alabama guard is reportedly opting for the transfer portal following the 2022-23 season.

According to Verbal Commits, Nimari Burnett is heading for the portal after appearing in 27 games for the Crimson Tide this season. Burnett did make 9 starts and averaged 5.6 points per game for Nate Oats and company.

Coming out of high school, Burnett was a 4-star combo guard out of Chicago and the 34th player in the country per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He began his career at Texas Tech before making the move to Tuscaloosa.

Burnett began the year in the starting lineup and had a season-high 18 points in a win over Jacksonville State. He was still a key rotational piece once moving to the bench and produced 11 points in the NCAA Tournament opener against Texas A&M-CC.
