At various points during the NFL Draft process, Alabama LB Mack Wilson was in the mix to be a first-round pick.
However, that didn’t materialize on Thursday night in Nashville, and Wilson also watched Rounds 2 and 3 go by on Friday without his name called.
Midway through Round 5 on Saturday afternoon, Wilson finally got the call as the Cleveland Browns selected him with the No. 155 overall pick in the draft.
Wilson has the talent to be an absolute steal in this draft, finishing the 2018 season with 65 tackles (4.5 for a loss), one sack, two interceptions and five pass breakups.
He’ll have a major chip on his shoulder moving forward, too, so the Browns are getting a very motivated player.
