Brady Quinn has made his prediction on who will win the College Football Playoff National Championship Game this season.

Speaking during the CFP matchup preview on CBS Sports, Quinn has No. 4 Alabama and No. 3 Texas winning their respective semifinal contests.

With the Crimson Tide and the Longhorns facing off in a grudge match, Quinn believes Alabama will pull out the win. Quinn also thinks Alabama will get its revenge after a Week 2 loss at home to Texas.

“I see Nick Saban taking on a former coach in Steve Sarkisian. (Saban) gets the best of it in a tight, but low-scoring game,” Quinn said, noting that the national title game will be a classic.

Despite a 12-1 record and an SEC Championship title, Quinn thinks Alabama “has been underrated” all year.

“We’ve seen it throughout the season,” Quinn said.

The Longhorns, Quinn said, have kept their mark with a 12-1 record and a Big 12 Championship crown.

“Alabama has grown as a team, as has Texas as they maintain the course,” Quinn said.

Texas is 8-2-1 all-time against Alabama. Before the teams met during this season, Alabama beat Texas by a 20-19 score in 2022. The Crimson Tide is now looking to win 3 of their last 4 meetings against the Longhorns.

Kickoff between Alabama and Michigan in the Playoff semifinal is 5 p.m., and Texas against Washington is scheduled for 8:45 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The games will be televised on ESPN.
