To say that Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has been a revelation to start the 2021 season would be an understatement.

The 6-foot, 194-pound sophomore has led the top-ranked Crimson Tide to a 2-0 start and in the process has done something that no other Alabama quarterback has ever done in the storied history of the program.

After throwing 4 touchdown passes in the Tide’s season-opening win over Miami, Young threw 3 more TD passes in Saturday’s victory over Mercer. The 7 touchdown passes mark a new school record for a quarterback in his first 2 career starts.

For the season, Young has completed 46-of-65 passes for 571 yards, and he has yet to throw an interception.

He and his Alabama teammates will travel to Gainesville this Saturday to take on No. 13 Florida in a game that will have College Football Playoff implications.
