C.J. Mosley says he feels like ‘older brother’ to young Alabama players entering the NFL

Since entering the NFL in 2014, Baltimore Ravens LB C.J. Mosley has watched as dozens of his fellow former Alabama Crimson Tide standouts have joined him in the pro ranks.

In fact, the Ravens have added a few ex-Crimson Tide stars to the mix. Last year, they chose DB Marlon Humphrey in the first round and LB Tim Williams in the third round. This year, they picked up DB Anthony Averett in Round 4 and OL Bradley Bozeman in Round 6.

With all the Alabama alums joining him in Baltimore, Mosley said he feels like the older brother to the ex-Crimson Tide players (via AL.com):

“It’s a blessing,” Mosley said. “With Averett, he was a freshman my senior year, so I played with him, too. It’s a great feeling. I always love, once I got to the league, to see those guys as freshmen progress all the way up to their senior year at Bama. And then when they get to the league and see them do great things, I feel like I’m like the older brother.”

Mosley is a good example for the young guys, as he’s made it to three Pro Bowls already in his young career.

The Ravens are loaded with Alabama talent, and that’s never a bad strategy for an NFL team.
