If you missed it on Saturday, there was a moment of slight terror involving Dylan Moses near the end zone as the Alabama linebacker ran into the wall of Bryant-Denny Stadium during the Texas A&M game. Thankfully, for Moses at least, the linebacker was braced for impact by a security guard, but Moses was down on the ground for some time after the play.

Moses missed a few snaps but did re-enter the game following the scary incident. During his Monday afternoon media availability, Nick Saban noted action would be taken to fix that part of the stadium.

“We’re addressing that,” Saban said on Monday. “They’re going to try to do some stuff to the stadium there to shave that little corner off a little bit and pad it up a little better. That was something that after being here all these years, I never even noticed that until that play. That’s definitely something that we are addressing.”

Moses also met with the media on Monday and shared his recollection of the play.

“On that play, I was really just covering the tight end to the end zone. I was just trying to defend the pass, and whenever I landed, I tripped over the tight end and then took another step and tried to brace myself,” Moses stated. “I saw the wall as I tried to brace myself, then the security guard was in between me and the wall. That was the last thing I remember. I fell really awkwardly… It hurt, it hurt bad. It was just one of those things. It knocked the air out of me, so I had to regain my air and got back on the field when I was ready.”

The Alabama linebacker was then asked about his thoughts on the proposed changes coming to Bryant-Denny.

“I’ve been hearing things about them trying to find a way to fix that part of the stadium so that won’t happen again,” Moses said.

He was then asked a follow-up question regarding his status moving forward, to which Moses quickly pointed out he would be fine moving forward following the freak accident.

“Oh yeah, I’m fine,” Moses continued. “That’s why I got back in the game after I pretty much got hurt, I just got that wind knocked out of me. I’m fine.”

Thankfully this situation came out the way it did for one of Alabama’s most talented players, as it originally appeared much worse on initial viewing and once Moses was on the ground being tended to by Alabama’s medical staff. Credit the school for taking quick action to resolve the issue so this doesn’t happen again in the future.
