Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy has some work to do in the offseason, according to Green Bay Packers’ coach Mike McCarthy.

McCarthy, when discussing Lacy’s weight, added that he wasn’t ready when he came into camp last year, and it showed.

“He’s got a lot of work to do,” McCarthy said, via GreenBayPressGazette.com. “I think I’m stating the obvious. His offseason last year was not good enough and he never recovered from it. I had a chance to talk to Eddie today and that was pretty much the majority of our whole conversation. So he has to get it done because he cannot play at the weight that he played at this year.”

Lacy rushed for 910 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 17 games this past season.

It sounds like Lacy will need to lay off of the Twinkies ahead of the 2016 season if he wants to get out of McCarthy’s doghouse.
