Former Alabama defender thinks Jalen Hurts should switch positions
If you ask Vinnie Sunseri, there isn’t a legit quarterback battle between Tua Tagavolia and Jalen Hurts in Tuscaloosa this offseason. In fact, Sunseri even thinks it’s time for Hurts to embrace a new position to help his future potential earnings.
Sunseri tweeted out his thoughts on the spring QB derby in Tuscaloosa Friday morning.
How well the two Alabama quarterbacks play in the upcoming spring game could reveal where the competition currently stands in Tuscaloosa. Should Hurts prove to be behind the younger Tagovailoa, it may be time to consider the move.
No QB battle at Alabama in my eyes! Tua starts and Hurts moves postition and plays at a high level still. In doing this helps draft stock! What do you guys think? #BamaQBBattle

Sunseri didn’t specify where Hurts could potentially move but later clarified he could envision a move to tight end or H-back for the Bama quarterback.
Former Alabama and Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio agrees with Sunseri’s assessment.
Totally agree. Phenomenal ball player but not an NFL qb. Take the @BraxtonMiller5 route and start the transition against lesser competition than you will be going up against at the next level! https://t.co/z3Losisemd

What do you think? Should Hurts start training at another position this offseason?
