Former Alabama G Jahvon Quinerly has found his new team. Quinerly will use his extra year of eligibility at Memphis.

Quinerly took to social media on Thursday evening to announce his transfer commitment to Penny Hardaway’s program.

A 2018 McDonald’s All-American Quinerly is entering Year 6 of his college basketball career. After playing for Villanova in 2018-19 and sitting out 2019-20 due to transfer rules, Quinerly spent the past 3 seasons in Tuscaloosa. He entered the transfer portal in June.

In 2020-21, Quinerly helped Alabama capture its first SEC Tournament championship since 1991. He was the tourney’s Most Outstanding Player, averaging 15.7 points, 3.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game in Nashville.

Quinerly logged 27 starts over 33 appearances in 2021-22. He was second on the team in scoring (13.8 points per game) and assists (4.2).

This past season, Quinerly was the SEC’s Co-Sixth Man of the Year. Quinerly averaged 8.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and a team-leading 3.6 assists per game over 35 contests. Quinerly made the SEC All-Tournament team for the second time in his career.
