Henry Ruggs III was a wanted man in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders made Ruggs the top wide receiver drafted at No. 12 overall, and its owner, Mark Davis, already had his mind made up to select the former Alabama standout, assuming he was available.

“He was,” said Davis, “the only person I wanted in this draft.”

That’s not surprising, because the Raiders have long loved wide speedy wide receivers, but Ruggs coming off the board first was somewhat surprising, especially over his Alabama teammate Jerry Jeudy.

Ruggs is already turning heads in training camp, as evidenced by this ridiculous one-handed, leaping grab shared by the Raiders social media team. You can just see the smile on the face of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr after Ruggs caught the 50-50 ball.
