Josh Pate of 247Sports is not buying into an LSU upset in Week 10.

The Tigers welcome the Tide into Death Valley, in what should be a tightly-contested SEC matchup that could have playoff implications. Pate, however, does not think the game will be all that close.

“I think it’s a bad matchup night for LSU, I just don’t like it at all. I think Alabama is going to win, I think Alabama is going to cover.”

Pate points out that Alabama’s defense has only allowed 15 TDs this season, and 7 of those were in 1 game against Tennessee. Pate also mentioned that the Tigers are 105th in the nation in average starting field position, something that will have to change against the Tide.

“I got full confidence in Brian Kelly. I don’t think it’s happening in year 1,” Pate said. The 6-2 Tigers are 2-touchdown underdogs against the Tide.
