The Iron Bowl is more than a month away, but that doesn’t change the distaste that Alabama and Auburn fans have for their rival school.

Even though the rivalry game won’t happen until Nov. 24, apparently it’s not too early for the two fan bases to start pranking each other.

On Tuesday, Jared Dillard of WEGL shared a photo of the Cam Newton statue outside of Jordan-Hare Stadium. Only one thing was different from usual — the Newton statue had Alabama flags strapped to both of its arms. Take a look below:

The Newton statue has been outside Jordan-Hare Stadium since 2012. Newton played at Auburn for one season in 2010, leading the Tigers to an SEC championship and national title while also winning the Heisman Trophy.

With the Iron Bowl more than a month away, Alabama has been dominant this season while Auburn has had some struggles. The Crimson Tide are 7-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country. The Tigers are 4-3 and unranked after a loss to Tennessee.

If the two teams continue trending in the same direction, this year’s Iron Bowl could be much more meaningful for Alabama.
