Nick Saban turns 70 on Sunday, and since the Crimson Tide have a bye week this week, his age and retirement future were raised again.

Saban was asked on the SEC coaches media teleconference about his coaching future in light of another coach, Lou Saban, getting a job at 80 when Nick Saban was at LSU.

“I’ve got 10 more years, man,” Nick Saban said.

Saban complimented WR John Metchie for his play this season despite injuries and added that he, “maybe got a slow start because he couldn’t practice all the time. He’s played really well the last 2 games.”

Saban also said that JoJo Earle has had great punt returns and overall done an outstanding job.

“JoJo Earle, young guy that is very bright, conscientious,” Saban said. “Really good ability, very good route runner, very effective returner for us.”
