Nick Saban plans on winning SEC: ‘It’s never OK to lose a game’

Given Alabama’s undefeated record and eye-test dominance, many believe it is a lock for the College Football Playoff despite what happen in the SEC championship game.

The thought process is that the Crimson Tide could rest several starters against Florida in the title game and prepare for another Playoff run. While Alabama would likely still make the tournament field with a loss, Nick Saban has no plans to do anything but win the SEC.

It should come as no surprise that Saban is intent on winning the next game on Alabama’s schedule. Anything else would simply be uncharacteristic for the Crimson Tide’s coach.

His teams have largely avoided those slip-up performances over the years, and it’s likely due to this single-game approach.
