Nick Saban and Alabama have the challenge of facing one of the best offenses in the country this weekend against LSU.

The Tigers have made a name for themselves through explosive players and a high-powered offense. On Monday, Saban detailed the challenges of contains LSU’s offense.

“I think there’s lots of challenges,” Saban said. “You’ve gotta read run-pass and they’ve got a good play action game. They’ll 7-man protect and throw vertical routes. They’ve probably made more explosive plays running and passing than any team we’ve played in recent times. You’ve gotta guard them, you’ve got to keep them cut off and you’ve gotta be disciplined in your eye control so you have the best opportunity to do that.”

Saban knows his defensive unit will have to be near perfect on Saturday, because LSU’s Jayden Daniels will make them pay for any mistake.

“If you let guys get behind you, you get people cut off, you’re probably gonna give up big plays,” Saban said. “Because they’ve got a good thrower and guys that can go up and get the ball.”

LSU got the best of Alabama last year in a narrow overtime win. The Tide are looking to bounce back this season and get a signature win over the Tigers.
