The New England Patriots, like every NFL team, had a busy Tuesday, trying to finalize their 53-man roster ahead of the 2021 season.
There were some tough decisions and brutal cuts to be made, but the team eventually got down to the correct roster size.
Former Alabama LB Anfernee Jennings, a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, will remain with the team, but per reporter Mike Reiss, he’s been placed on the injured reserve list. That ends his 2021 season before it began:

Jennings played in 14 games as a rookie last season, starting 4 of them. He recorded a total of 20 tackles and 1 QB hit.
We’ll see if he returns at full strength in 2021.
