Two SEC quarterbacks are getting a lot of love in the national media after Week 1 of the conference season, but Paul Finebaum says it’s a conference running back who is on his Heisman Trophy radar behind two preseason favorites.

Appearing on ESPN’s First Take Wednesday, Finebaum that Najee Harris has entered his top three.

“I still think you have to put Trevor Lawrence at the top of that,” Finebaum said. “He had a little bit of a shaky year last year, he lost one game, the final game of the year. Just Fields, and then I think it’s wide open. I like Najee Harris from Alabama. I think he’s going to get big — now, he’s going to be in competition with a couple of wide receivers on that team, so that could hurt him a little bit. But right now, I think those are the three.”

Lawrence’s Clemson Tigers were off this past Saturday while Harris and the Crimson Tide faced Missouri. The senior running back carried the ball 17 times for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns. Justin Fields won’t take the field with the Ohio State Buckeyes until Oct. 24 when Ryan Day’s squad hosts Nebraska. Fields was a Heisman finalist last season.
