Many questions are being raised about just how dominant of a program Alabama still is after the Crimson Tide fell 52-49 to the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday as the home team snapped a huge losing streak to a conference opponent.

This is far from the first sign of shakiness that Alabama has shown, with last year’s loss to Texas A&M and fall to Georgia in the national championship. And since then, the team has simply looked beatable and not quite like the powerhouse it was once viewed as.

College football analyst Paul Finebaum recently weighed in on the state of the program.

“Yesterday was the personification of the sport and it’s why people like us are so passionate,” Finebaum said. “There are a lot of troubling signs coming out of it for Alabama as well as some positive signs for Tennessee, but… Alabama does not look well-coached… That’s off the record.”

Finebaum elaborated more upon the bold statement in the segment:

It will be interesting to see how the team performs as it looks to bounce back against the traveling Mississippi State Bulldogs this week in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
