It’s been one heck of a start to the NFL season for the Dallas Cowboys and cornerback Trevon Diggs. After their win, Monday night against NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys moved to 2-1 overall and have taken the lead in the division. This month has also been big for Diggs who has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Month.

Diggs has started the season with 3 interceptions, including a pick-6 against former Alabama teammate Jalen Hurts in the Cowboys 41-21 victory. Coming out of college, Diggs was the second-round draft choice of the Cowboys in 2020.

While at Bama, he was first-team All-SEC in 2019 and was third-team All-American that same year. The Cowboys and Diggs have shown major improvement from a year ago when they were almost dead last in every defensive category.

As of now, Dallas is ranked 12th in the NFL in overall defense.
