The Alabama Crimson Tide are the unanimous No. 1 team in the AP Poll, and with an 8-0 record, it’s not hard to figure out why.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, has a loss to Texas on its resume, but is still a very strong team with an elite offense, led by QB Kyler Murray.

As you can see in the video below, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt says he thinks the Sooners are the team with the best “blueprint” for beating Alabama:

“It’s going to be incredibly difficult for anybody to beat Oklahoma unless they’ve got an offense that can go out and score 45 or even maybe 50 points,” he said. “The offense is going to score close to that, particularly if they’re in the game for the entirety of the fourth quarter. They are so deep at the running back position. Their offensive line, right now, is playing better than anybody in America. … Their quarterback is playing at a level that’s only being matched by Tua Tagovailoa at Alabama. …

“OU fans, you’ve got to understand this — your championship window is still open. It doesn’t matter that Baker Mayfield has gone on to the NFL. You guys can go to the Playoff, and candidly, I think this is the team with the best shot and the best blueprint to compete with Alabama. I wouldn’t favor Oklahoma over Alabama, but they’re not going to be scared about getting into a shootout.”

Oklahoma has some work to do to make it to the College Football Playoff, but if they do get there, they’ll be a scary opponent for whatever team lines up across from them.
