Arkansas picked up its final transfer addition of the cycle on Friday afternoon.

The Razorbacks landed a commitment from Memphis forward Chandler Lawson. He gives Arkansas its full allotment of scholarship players for the 2023-24 season.

Here’s his announcement:

Lawson began his career at Oregon before spending the past 2 years with Memphis. He started 24 games this past season for the Tigers.

Last season, he averaged 5 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest while playing just over 19 minutes per night. He also averaged 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

Lawson joins an Arkansas transfer portal class that’s loaded with talent. The Razorbacks have brought in 5 other transfers, although most have been at the guard position. Lawson is listed at 6-foot-8 and projects to play as a big next season.

Arkansas’ transfer haul is ranked in the top 5 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Lawson was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2019. He has 1 year of eligibility remaining.
