Arkansas fans react to reports of AD Jeff Long being fired

Reports surfaced Wednesday that AD Jeff Long and Arkansas were parting ways.
Long had been with the Razorbacks since 2008 with the football team experiencing mixed results during his time there.
Long hired Bobby Petrino in 2008. The team did experience positive results with a 34-17 record in Petrino’s four seasons, but his departure came as the result of an ugly scandal that involved an adulterous affair.
Long hired Bret Bielema in 2013 following Petrino’s departure and the ensuing fallout, but the Razorbacks haven’t found consistent success with Bielema. It remains to be seen if Bielema is the next to go, but it certainly is a strong possibility with Long no longer there.
Arkansas fans took to Twitter with the news, and the Razorbacks faithful had serious mixed feelings with the decision:

Some really dumb opinions out there about Jeff Long being out at Arkansas. This isn’t good and we’ll see it play out in a slow and painful way. Boosters back in charge

Arkansas Athletics was top 15 in revenue, and had one of the highest fundraising years. You're crazy if you think Jeff Long was the problem

.@jefflongUA this is what happens when you don’t connect with the fans. You know the ones who come to the game. The ones who rightfully so turned their collective backs on you & your decisions.
