Arkansas, A&M players express mutual admiration after hard-fought game
Many expected Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen to miss the remainder of Saturday’s game against Texas A&M after taking a big hit from linebacker Claude George in the second quarter.
Despite a bruised chest muscle, Allen returned to the game and finished with 371 yards and two touchdown on 28 of 42 passing during the Razorbacks’ 45-24 loss to the Aggies.
The junior quarterback won the respect of many for his warrior-like performance, including George, who reached out to Allen on Twitter hours after the game.

Allen responded with his own praise for George shortly after.

George finished Saturday’s game with three tackles including one for loss. The junior has 17 tackles, including four for loss and two sacks in 2016.
Allen has throw for 1,026 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions on 81 of 121 passing during his first season as the Razorbacks’ starter.
