Arkansas has a social media team that is known for spicy and troll-worthy graphics after big wins. Saturday’s dramatic overtime victory at Florida was the latest example. “Won’t back down,” was the caption, an obvious reference to the late Gainesville native Tom Petty.

The game had several noteworthy developments, including Arkansas’ first-ever win at Florida, and the Gators’ first home loss of the season. Florida had a chance to win it at the end of the 4th quarter, but Trey Smack missed a 44-yard attempt wide right.

KJ Jefferson found Tyrone Broden for a 4-yard TD, to lift the Razorbacks in overtime 39-36. The loss dropped Florida to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in SEC play, and lifted Arkansas to 3-6 and 1-5 in the SEC.

The Razorbacks ended Florida’s 6-game winning streak at home and may have knocked the Gators out of bowl contention as coach Billy Napier faces another bump in the road. Florida’s final regular season games are at LSU, at Missouri and at home against Florida State, a difficult stretch in which the Gators could be double-digit underdogs in each game.
