Connor Noland had a strong season for Arkansas. After being selected during this year’s MLB Draft, Noland now has his contract in place to begin his professional career.

The Chicago Cubs tabbed Noland with a selection in the 9th round. On Saturday, the Cubs and Noland confirmed that he had signed his contract.

With his announcement, Noland penned a heartfelt note to Arkansas. He reflected on his 4 years with the Razorbacks and said that Arkansas “will always be home for me.”

During his senior season, Noland turned into a true workhorse for the Razorbacks. Noland led the team in starts (19), innings pitched (116), strikeouts (113) and wins (8).

Best of luck to Noland as he moves on to begin his professional career in the Cubs’ farm system.
