Connor Noland signs professional contract, pens heartfelt farewell to Arkansas

Connor Noland had a strong season for Arkansas. After being selected during this year’s MLB Draft, Noland now has his contract in place to begin his professional career.
The Chicago Cubs tabbed Noland with a selection in the 9th round. On Saturday, the Cubs and Noland confirmed that he had signed his contract.
With his announcement, Noland penned a heartfelt note to Arkansas. He reflected on his 4 years with the Razorbacks and said that Arkansas “will always be home for me.”

During his senior season, Noland turned into a true workhorse for the Razorbacks. Noland led the team in starts (19), innings pitched (116), strikeouts (113) and wins (8).
