Sam Pittman and Arkansas suffered a tough loss to Mississippi State Saturday, but without KJ Jefferson, that was almost certain to be the result.
The Hogs struggled without their top quarterback. Arkansas rolled with Cade Fortin before handing the ball over to Malik Hornsby when Fortin began to struggle. Pittman discussed the decision to start Fortin postgame.
“Fortin, basically, in practice had won that job. That was the decision there. Had a really good week. Certainly there’s a difference in playing somebody’s first team and scout team.”
